Siergiej Wowkotrub Gypsy Swing Quartet

      Gypsy Swing Quartet was founded in 2001 by Siergei Wowkotrub - leader, violin virtuoso musician from Ukraine, 20 years permanently residing in Poland.
       In his virtuoso playing, strongly felt emotions are manouche gypsy swing, combined with a delicate hint of eastslavic smidgen. The leader collaborated from: "Jazz Band Ball Orchestra", "Hot D'Jazz Trio", "Five O'Clock Orchestra" and one of the greatest guitarists of the genre manouche - Joscho Stephan. Sergei on stage  accompany by Sebastian Rucinski (guitar), Tomasz Wojcik (guitar), Peter Hill iotr Gorka (bass) - are all graduates of the Jazz Academy of Music in Katowice, musicians cooperating on a daily basis with the stars of the Polish stage. The extraordinary sensitivity and temperament musicians reveal both team play, and the solo parts.
      The extensive repertoire "Sergei Wowkotrub Gypsy Swing Quartet" comprising not only the standards of gypsy swing, inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli but familiar, well-orchestrated pop and film music. Fresh and original way of presenting music from the world of jazz and entertainment team is gaining a wide range of audiences, and concerts are a true musical performances with carefully thought-out drama and unique atmosphere. The band toured the country and abroad, has won competitions and festivals including "Golden Washboard" (Iława).
